The clay studio at Kimball has opened its doors each Friday this fall – for anyone who wants to take a crack at clay. It’s not a class, but a studio staffer will do a demo at the top of the session on either a hand-building or wheel-throwing technique. The fee includes enough clay for two completed pieces – along with firing and glazing.

Raised on a cattle ranch in Fraser, CO, Walt Evans currently calls Kamas home. He’s retired from the U.S.Ski Team and now spends his team as a musician, playing guitar, mandolin, and bass.
Evans’ other passion is Cowboy Camp Crafts. He creates unique leather guitar straps, journal covers, rustic wood frames & horseshoe art – all with reclaimed leather, steel, and wood. The Cowboy Camp Display will be featured at Artique in Kamas through November 30.

The Addams Family Musical

Wednesday Addams is now 18 years old – and she has fallen in love with a totally normal young man — from Ohio. Worse, she invites him – and his parents – to dinner at her parents’ place. Winter edition of the Nature Walks – where some of the walks turn into snowshoe sessions! If our weather cooperates, both Park City Mountain Resorts will start spinning lifts on Wednesday to celebrate the 2018 – 2019 ski and snowboard season.
Come early, grab a great parking spot (if you haven’t camped out overnight for first chair, that is), and enjoy some complimentary treats starting at 8 a.m. (in both Park City Mountain and Canyons Villages).
There will also be live music at both villages from 8 till 11, with a quick welcome speech from Bill Rock in the Park City Mountain Village at 8:50 a.m.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas”

Each year for Park City School District holiday breaks, Park City Film screens themed movies at 4 p.m. The goal in doing that is so students have a safe and entertaining place to be in the afternoons when school is out. Oh, and, free popcorn provided!
On November 21, kids can follow the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.”
He accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, with its bright colors and warm spirits, and gets a new lease on life. He plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role, but Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry. The Art of Movement
Head over to the KPCW studio for an open house on the day of Live PC Give PC! They’ll host guests from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and will have snacks (they always have delicious snacks!). You can also take a tour and meet the staff!
All day Friday (well, from 11 a.m. until midnight), when you eat at The Spur Bar & Grill, you’ll also be supporting the People’s Health Clinic. This nonprofit is dedicated to providing quality medical care to the uninsured, and The Spur will donate 10% of its sales, all day long, to support the Clinic. Must be 21 years and older to attend.
The Paint Mixer, right off of Historic Main Street in Park City, makes painting accessible to everyone – skill & talent not required! The instructors guide participants in a step-by-step process – and the result is a beautiful painting. Friday’s picture is simply titled, “Horse.”

“Church & State” is the story of an inexperienced gay activist and a tiny Salt Lake City law firm who joined forces to topple Utah’s gay marriage ban.
“The Mask You Live In” follows a diverse group of boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negotiating America’s narrow definition of masculinity, and specifically how that definition harms our boys, men, and society at large. There *is* some good news, though: tt also discusses what we can do about it.

Join the Friends of the Summit County Library at the Sheldon Richins Building for the used book sale. A huge selection of books for kids and adults are priced at $1 – or less! Movies and audiobooks are also for sale. Bring a “friends” tote and fill it up for $15, or buy a new one and fill it for $18.

Park City is all about nonprofits. So much so – that we have non-profits dedicated to raising money to give to *other* non-profits. Arachnids: After Dark!
The brand-new L.L.Bean store has just opened its doors on Heber and Main – and they are getting into Halloween by talking disaster preparedness – zombie-style. Seriously though, the Halloween-themed Zombie Apocalypse Survival Clinic aims to arm you for the unthinkable. It will introduce you to skills (and gear) that will help you through many different types of disaster. You can register for that, and see a list of upcoming events at the new store, 
If you don’t feel like trekking over to Main Street, bring the kids to Quarry Village in Pinebrook, where local businesses will be handing out treats! 
Bring your costumed kiddos (12 and younger) to trick-or-treat throughout the zoo. Trick-or-treat bags are provided, and there will be lots of candy and lots to see and do for Boo at the Zoo!
