The Colony at White Pine Canyon

Park City, Utah Real Estate | Home Sites and Custom Homes

Meet Bronson Calder

May 1, 2019 by Molly Miller, Colony PR

Hey there, I’m Bronson Calder – and I am the team lead for the Sales Team here at The Colony at White Pine Canyon in Park City, Utah. I was raised right here in Park City, and have had the unique opportunity to see this former small mining community grow into a world-class ski destination.

As we continue to evolve, growth is inevitable, and Park City’s leaders and residents continue to do an exceptional job managing and finessing that growth. The best parts of our little town have been preserved – and are now supplemented with endless amenities for both locals *and* visitors to enjoy.

The Colony at White Pine Canyon, decades in the making, is a layered and complex project, one I’ve dedicated myself to becoming an expert on. I’d love the chance to share what I’ve learned about this community, which is unlike any other in the world, and how you can experience life here.

The view down White Pine Canyon.

The Colony Sales Team is passionate about the land, its careful and strategic development, and the sales process for those who choose to build their legacy here. In fact, I’m here for one purpose: to help you define, understand, and ultimately – enjoy life in The Colony. A huge part of life in The Colony is its access to Park City life – skiing, snowboarding, the world-class food and entertainment, and more – and its preservation of this breathtaking land.

Thanks to preservation easements, nearly 90% of The Colony’s 4,600 acres will remain pristine and untouched open space – which means that the dream home you build here creates a legacy for you to leave behind for generations to come.

The outdoors defines me, and I feel most at home when I am doing something outside – preferably with my son, Max, by my side. He’s the most important thing in my world, and I’m thrilled to be able to give him the same gift *I* had as a child: the opportunity to grow up here in Park City, enjoying the exceptional outdoors and our access to it.

There’s no better combination for everything that I love than The Colony in Park City. Its access to every outdoor activity you can think of, year-round, and the opportunity to introduce new people to this lifestyle is something that makes me feel so lucky to spend my days here.

I’d love to take you along on a private tour anytime. We can hop on snowmobiles, snowshoes, or skis; or even jump into our luxury Colony snowcat. If you are here in the summer let’s jump on the bike or head out on foot to enjoy this spectacular community! Connect with me and let’s head up to explore this incredible community here at The Colony at White Pine Canyon.

Q & A

What role do you play in the real estate process?

Helping with the biggest purchase of someone’s life.
Coordinating the details and helping guide through the process.
Making sure the transaction is extremely smooth.

When is The Colony Sales Team available?

Always! We adjust our schedule to fit our client’s needs. The team approach really allows this to happen.

What sets you apart from the competition?

We share an office and resources with the original developer of The Colony. We know everything about the past, present, and future of this development, including what that means for YOU and your investment. 360-degree access, 365 days a year.

We also incorporate the top tools in our industry;  I have been the Chairman of the MLS and Technology committee for the past 10 years and implementing the best and most effective platforms is a critical element to my business.

How do you ensure clients’ best interests are always top priority?

We continually adapt to the complicated market conditions and legal landscape of the real estate transaction. Up-to-the-minute continuing education, statistical presentations, and so on – it will seem like you’re shopping for your next big investment with your own personal economist and Park City market expert.

How do you get eyes on properties?

Our team is a marketing machine when it comes time to list a property. We use proven channels and platforms to get your property in front of real/qualified buyers. Industry and local analytics are incorporated into every decision we make. We maximize exposure and constantly analyze what resources are providing the highest benefit.

Constantly learning and understanding the local market inventory is one of the most important aspects of our career when it comes to working with Buyers and Sellers. Knowing what is available, when it is available, and how it stacks up to the rest of its competition gives our clients a clear advantage in a highly competitive world.

Zillow, Trulia, and realtor.com are all great web sites but pale in comparison to what you get when you work with an informed professional agent in a complicated real estate environment. Working with the right broker will save you time, energy, and best of all  – money.

The Dream Lots on Dream Ridge

April 22, 2019 by Molly Miller, Colony PR

The Dream Lots on Dream Ridge in The Colony at White Pine Canyon.

The view: priceless.
It’s an accepted fact: homesites of The Colony at White Pine Canyon are special. But these lots – the Dream Lots – are in a category of their very own.

They are the most spectacular homesites ever offered in The Colony. Nestled in the Wasatch Back, in the heart of one of the largest ski and snowboard resorts in North America, the Dream Lots offer 360º perspectives: of Park City Mountain, territorial down-valley views, and the majestic Uinta Range ridgeline.

The access: matchless.
Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and more – all of it is at your doorstep.

In the winter months, more than 50% of the Canyons Village terrain lands within The Colony’s boundaries. In all, more than 7,300 acres of Park City Mountain’s skiable land are at your ski tips.

In warm weather, the snow melts and a massive network of public and private hiking, biking, walking, and horseback riding trails is revealed. The trails connect to more than 400 miles of single-track throughout the surrounding Park City area, including the acclaimed 26-mile Mid-Mountain Trail, which runs directly through The Colony.

A final word about access: The Colony is just 35 miles from Salt Lake International Airport, and 22 miles from Heber Valley Airport, perfect for private jet travel. Once you arrive, you’re a mere five miles to Park City’s Historic Main Street, home to the Sundance Film Festival, and world-class dining and shopping.

The space: open.
Open space is the thread with which The Colony is woven together. The devotion to open land is such that nearly 90% of the development’s 4,600 acres will remain pristine and untouched open space, protected with preservation easements.

The feeling: celestial.
Live the alpine dream year-round from your dream home, perched atop Dream Ridge, which feels like your personal mountain.

These unparalleled homesites are partially wooded with lush aspen groves and evergreens, offer relatively flat building envelopes and unmatched privacy.

Dream on.
Connect with Bronson Calder, Director of Sales here at The Colony, to schedule your private tour of these treasures of The Colony at White Pine Canyon, and find out why coming home to The Colony feels like a true departure.

Winter 2018 | 2019 @ The Colony

April 16, 2019 by Molly Miller, Colony PR

An EPIC Ski Season

The snow this winter at The Colony at White Pine Canyon was nothing short of spectacular. Park City Mountain’s 350+ inches of snow almost doubled the total snowfall for last year! For homeowners in The Colony, the ski day begins and ends at the front door, so this year’s epic snowfall meant first tracks all winter long. In fact, the amount of time it takes to get out on a powder day here depends on how long you linger over your morning latte.

ALL-ACCESS PASS

Access, privacy, and open space are among the elements which set The Colony at White Pine Canyon apart. For those who live here, directly in the heart of one of the largest ski and snowboard resort in the United States, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more are right at your doorstep. It’s no wonder that people say coming home to The Colony feels like a true departure.

First Light over The Colony at White Pine Canyon

The Colony community is a private one, set in the middle of Park City Mountain. The skiing is called epic for a reason: There are more than 7,300 acres of winter magic in-bounds. By the numbers, that’s 348 trails, 41 lifts, 13 bowls, 8 terrain parks, 2 ski villages (Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village), 1 superpipe, and 1 mini pipe. One final number to consider: The Colony boasts more than 50% of the Canyons Village terrain within its boundaries →that’s what we call an all-access pass!

Historic Main Street in Park City, Utah

A final word about access: The Colony is just 35 miles from Salt Lake International Airport, and 22 miles from Heber Valley Airport, which is perfect for those with a private jet. Once you arrive, you’re a mere five miles to Park City’s Historic Main Street, home to the Sundance Film Festival and world-class dining and shopping.

BUILD YOUR LEGACY AT THE COLONY

Today, The Colony is writing its final chapter, with progress unfolding in the fifth of five phases – the Meadow Lakes lots. Overall, there are just 27 homesites available, priced from $1.9 to $5.5 million, including our newest mountain-top gems, The Dream Lots. All of them boast commanding views, old-growth forests, and unique private ski access.

Summer in the Meadow Lakes

There’s no question that The Colony at White Pine Canyon feels like its own world; its access, privacy, and open spaces are incomparable. But the duality of that access also contributes to the singularity of The Colony experience. Its proximity to all that Park City has to offer provides homeowners the luxury of quickly connecting with the community and participating in whichever elements of city life they choose, with the knowledge that their private mountain retreat is just moments away.

Connect with Bronson Calder, Director of Sales, to begin to build your legacy (or to buy one already custom-made) in The Colony at White Pine Canyon.

The Colony is just 35 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport and 5 minutes to Park City’s historic Main Street, home to the Sundance Film Festival and world-class dining and shopping.

Summer’s not going to be fashionably late this year—she’s already sneaking in. The trails are greening up, wildflowers are stretching, and the puffy coats are officially in storage. Who’s ready for long hikes and longer days?
