After years of extensive renovations from owners Talisker Mountain Inc., Canyons Resort has finally cracked the Top 10 in the Ski Magazine annual Reader’s Survey of the best resorts in North America.
“Canyons has made a clear commitment to elevating its ranking through its infrastructure investments in the past three years,” Chris Phillips, publisher of SKI Magazine, said in a statement.
Since purchasing the resort in 2008, Talisker has remained committed to improving the overall guest experience, from adding 300 acres of skiable terrain, to improving and elevating the dining experience, and progressing on the long-awaited 18-hole golf course. These improvements — totalling more than $50-million since 2010 — came together to help the local resort raise itself from No. 20 just three years ago, to this year’s position at No. 10.
Canyons has a planned opening date of Friday, November 23, and is offering special pass pricing until October 15.
