For over four decades, Park City also hosted the prestigious Sundance Film Festival — a defining cultural event that showcased independent cinema and drew artists and audiences from around the world. However, the festival is transitioning to Boulder, Colorado after its final Utah edition in early 2026, marking the end of an era.
Park City’s Olympic legacy continues to grow. After hosting multiple events during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the region is now slated to be part of the host venues for the 2036 Winter Olympics, reaffirming its global stature in winter sport and mountain culture.
