WELCOME TO SUMMERTIME AT THE COLONY
The snow has melted, the forests are turning green and the meadows are covered in wildflowers – summer has never felt better! We hope everyone is ready to take on this new season after a roller coaster spring, with deeper appreciation for the place we call home.
Our team is summer ready and pushing forward as our Sales Office is now reopened 7 days a week following strict protocol regarding health and safety. Tours remain mostly by appointment and if interested we ask that you reach out to Bronson Calder at 435-901-9073. He and the rest of The Colony Sales Team are here for you 365!
For Your Summer Bucket List:
Our Sales Team knows how to have fun… Here’s some of their favorite activities and suggestions for how to play it big this summer in Park City. Get your bike, hike and water gear ready…
My perfect summer day is a morning paddle board at Jordanelle and then an afternoon round of golf at Mountain Dell.”
Cindy
Jordanelle Reservoir is is the closest lake to Park City and has every kind of water recreation. For smooth sailing, Cindy suggests going early to paddle board before the boats arrive.
And as for golf, she says evening is best for beautiful sunsets and cool air at Mountain Dell which offers 36 holes of breathtaking views and frequent glimpses of wildlife.
Every Saturday I wake up in need of a mountain bike ride. Our family’s go-to is Mid Mountain trail, you traverse all though PCMR. It’s epic.”
Kurt
Mid Mountain winds right through The Colony but Kurt suggests driving to the top of Deer Valley and then ending at your home to get the best of it!
He’s a super supporter of Mountain Trails Foundation for keeping all of our trails in top shape and Colesport for keeping his bike in gear.
I hike almost every day and just found Quarry Mountain hike, you start by the White Barn and end up with views of our whole mountain rage (Colony included!). It’s beautiful!”
Blake
Park City boasts more than 400 miles of hiking trails so to help navigate, Blake suggests Iron Mountain for a good incline that looks down at all of PC, Rob’s Trail for good shade on a hot day among tall pine forests and Quarry Mountain for quick 360 degree mountain views,
For more details on hiking at PCMR you can find their detailed map here: Hiking PCMR.
